This morning, I set myself the task of putting up the new Hub Radio website. Not as simple as take old one down, and put new one up I assure you.

Process was involving installing new plugins, copying settings from demo site, install new template, set up new pages, set up menu bar, set up live streams, and so on. To add, I set myself the target of launching at 8am on the dot.

Apart from having to fix the template for standalone images, and running out of disk space on the webhost, everything worked first time! Considering my track record of things not working when I want them to, I was quite relieved.

I’ve come to expect random things happening in my flat. This is one of them which I involved myself in. A late night trip to Tesco Extra. This is the second time this has happened in two weeks, and not really regretting it, apart from waking up later than I wanted to.

Last night, it was Rich knocking on my door and asking for directions to Tesco Eastville. I showed him the route I took, along with Tom and Joe looking as well. Since I wasn’t feeling tired and I needed a few bits of shopping, what the hell. I went along with them. So we walked to Tesco, at 0:20 in the morning. It wasn’t too bad weather, wasn’t freezing. Nice fifty minute walk.

We get there, boys stock up on Powerade, I get bread and croissants, and some frozen stuff. Sorted. Taxi back, sleep.

This might be a regular occurrence soon enough

Recently, I’ve tried an adaptation of my home site theme on WordPress, with.. mixed results. I’ve deicide I need to re-refine it, again.

I’m not a web designer really, though sometimes I have the occasional site I design which doesn’t look too half bad. If I wanted to design my own page, it would require dedicated time. I don’t really have that at the moment.
