It’s Tuesday, 9:20 in the morning, and it already feels like half the day has passed already. Hah. No. The day has hardly begun yet, and today is going to being long. Conference floor doesn’t closeup til 10pm.
Today was an early rise at 5am. Those who know me well know that I’m not a natural early bird. I like my lie ins and prefer working late into the night. I was so paranoid yesterday that I wouldn’t wake up on time that I asked Charlie and Hannah to phone me and wake me up at 5am. Thankfully my fear wasn’t realised, I woke up on the dot at 5 o’clock. Though with only two hours sleep. I stayed up late helping my housemate Alex with his final year project (in exchange he’s helping me with getting better at Madden so all is fair).
6:15, on time at the bus stops, with everything that I need for the next few days (minus my portable charger which has gone AWOL, typical sods law). Half an hour later, the minibus arrives and alas we’re on our way to Liverpool.
Now I was smart. I prepared for the journey to and from Liverpool. Last night I loaded a season of Family Guy, the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and the latest episode of Game of Thrones. Twenty minutes into the journey with all the chat on the minibus and distractions I knew my plan of power watching stuff wasn’t going to happen. Oh well.
About half way through the journey, feeling tired and excited. Roll on NUS conference. Shame I couldn’t go to SRA conference as well, but not the end of the world, next year!
