Last week I decided to splash out on two brand new IPS monitors. tl;dr they’ve got stuck and dead pixels and I’m RMAing them.

The monitors were DGM IPS-2402WDH IPS monitors. For just over £160 each with free delivery and for a decent 24inch IPS monitor, sounded great. Ordered them on the Bank Holiday Monday, arrived in the office Wednesday, set them up on my shiny new screen mounts. All well and nice.

Then I notice the stuck and dead pixels. At first only one monitor had the stuck pixels, and it was right near the centre with green. There were also dead pixels in the top right, but they since disappeared. I know it’s only a small thing to worry about but it annoys me enough. So email scan, ask for an RMA.

Then the second monitor shows me a dead pixel. At this point I’m just fuming. (See pic). OK not as bad as the first monitor but still annoying enough.

I’m just hoping the new monitors they send back to me don’t have similar issues. 🙁
