As the title suggests, I’ve been quite busy over the last few weeks. In a nutshell, brand new Hub Radio website, the stats recording program I’ve been developing (also for Hub) is starting to come together, and progress being made at work.

Suppose the main thing which has been absorbing my free time after work has been this new Hub Radio site. This time, with my greater knowledge of the WordPress framework, improved web skills compared to the old Hub Site (which was still a great improvement over the even older website), and an actual willingness to get this done.

The site is more than just a pretty theme. In the process of redesigning the site, I looked at our ageing and frankly inferior scheduling plugin, and went… bugger it I’m rewriting the plugin. So a few days later, RiotSchedule is born. At some point next week, I’m going to put the plugin onto the WordPress plugins directory so anyone can use the plugin, I felt it’s something worth sharing. If you’re interested in the plugin, I’ll make a post on that soon. As a demo, have a snoop around the Hub site and look at shows and the site integration in general. They’re all based around that plugin, which is quite nifty.

During the evenings and weekends, I’ve been doing this. During the week however, 10-6pm, it’s still business as usual at work. I can’t say exactly what I’m doing (NDA), but I’ve been working on simulating something in our testing program for weeks, kept getting stuck on a particular issue which was found to be me not allocating a pointer properly, and causing memory corruption. Whoops. All fixed now. đŸ™‚

The RadioPanel stats recording site I’ve been working on, made a few tweaks here and there, though I need to get back working on it and improving it.

Now I’m going to finish tidying up my dinner. Bought some really nice chinese pork loins from my local butcher, really nice. I need to buy from there more often.
